At HummingHaus, we want you to love your rug. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we've made the return process as simple and hassle-free as possible.
The Basics
- Return window: 7 days from delivery
- Refund format: Store credit points (1 INR = 1 Credit Point)
- Pickup: Arranged by HummingHaus within 3–5 working days
- Applies to: Online purchases only — not applicable on custom or made-to-order rugs
How to Return

Step 2 — Schedule Pickup We will arrange a pickup from your address within 3–5 working days at a mutually convenient time. No need to drop it off anywhere.
Step 3 — Pack Your Rug Pack the rug in its original packaging material. If the original packaging is damaged or unavailable, please mention this when raising your return request — our Customer Service team will arrange a tamper-proof packet for you. Please ensure the package is securely sealed before the pickup agent arrives.
Step 4 — Quality Inspection Once the rug arrives at our warehouse, it undergoes a quality check. This typically takes up to 5 working days from receipt.
Step 5 — Credit Points Issued If the rug passes quality inspection, your refund will be issued as store credit points within 5 working days of inspection completion.
Store Credit Points
- Credit points are issued at the rate of 1 INR = 1 Credit Point
- Points are valid for 1 year from the date of issue
- Points can be redeemed on any standard product on humminghaus.com
- Points cannot be used for custom or made-to-order rugs
- Points can only be redeemed online — not in person or over the phone
What Cannot Be Returned
The following are not eligible for return under this policy:
- Custom or made-to-order rugs of any kind
- Rugs purchased via Cash on Delivery (COD)
- Rugs pruchased during any sale or disocunt.
- Rugs that have been used, washed, altered or soiled in any way
- Rugs with missing, damaged or altered original packaging, labels or tags
- Rugs with altered or illegible serial numbers
- Rugs where size alteration has been requested or carried out
- Damaged items reported after 48 hours of delivery
- Items that fail the quality inspection at our warehouse
Terms & Conditions
- The return must be initiated within 7 days of delivery — no exceptions
- The rug must be returned in the exact condition it was delivered — unused, unwashed and unaltered
- Original packaging, labels and tags must be intact
- If you receive a damaged or defective item, notify us within 48 hours with photographs sent to support@humminghaus.com
- Refunds or credit points will only be issued after the returned item has passed quality inspection
- HummingHaus reserves the right to reject a return if the item does not meet the above conditions
Rug Coating — Important Note
If you opted for a protective coating on your rug at the time of purchase, please note that the coating charge is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including returns, cancellations or exchanges. Only the base product amount (minus coating charges) will be considered for credit point issuance.
